What Drives Cost

What determines the price of your project?

Our pricing is entirely transparent. Every quote is built from five key variables. We explain all of these in detail at consultation — and nothing is added after you've signed.

1.

Garage Size

Single, double or large. The floor area directly affects materials and labour time.

2.

Clutter Level

How much is in the space and how long removal will take. Heavily loaded garages take longer to clear.

3.

Flooring Specification

Resin, herringbone oak, waxed concrete or a combination. Each carries a different material and preparation cost.

4.

Storage & Joinery

Modular systems, premium steel, solid oak built-ins or fully custom joinery — each has a different price point.

5.

Scope and Add-Ons

Electrical work, wall finishing, lifestyle packages, art curation and specialist equipment all affect total investment.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Yes, entirely. We visit your garage, take measurements, listen to what you want and then write you a detailed, itemised proposal at no charge. There is no obligation to proceed. We believe the proposal should be part of how you get to know us.

Yes. Once you've accepted a proposal, the price is fixed. We don't add costs during the project. If we encounter unexpected structural issues (rare but possible), we'll discuss them with you before proceeding — never just add to the bill.

Everything in the proposal: all materials, all labour, all disposal, all management, and all finishing including final photography. We don't separate these out. If we've specified it in the proposal, it's in the price.

Where applicable, VAT is included in all quoted prices. We are VAT-registered. Your invoice will clearly show the VAT element. For some Reset-only projects, specific elements may be exempt — we'll make this clear in your proposal.

We take a deposit at signing and the balance on completion. For larger Bespoke projects, we can structure staged payments aligned to project milestones. We don't offer credit, but we're happy to discuss what works for you.

We typically have a 4–8 week lead time for Reset and 2.0 projects. Bespoke projects require more planning time — often 8–12 weeks from brief to start. We'd always suggest booking early, particularly for spring and summer slots.

For Reset and 2.0 projects, we primarily cover Hertfordshire and surrounding counties. For Bespoke projects, we travel UK wide — a travel and accommodation supplement applies for projects over 80 miles from Berkhamsted.

We sort, categorise and handle everything. Items with value go to consignment or are sold on your behalf. Serviceable items go to local charities or community groups. Waste is disposed of responsibly. Nothing useful goes to landfill if we can help it. You receive a record of everything that left.
